On 6th June 2015, the first (official) Malaysian S.H.Figuarts Collectors Gathering was held at Level 2, Berjaya Time Squares Kuala Lumpur, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. (GMT +8). The event was organized by
Awesome Toys in collaboration with
S.H.Figuarts Malaysia Community &
IT Toys. As a big fans of SHF, of course I've attended the event and I managed to snap a few photos for sharing:

Event Overview
Even though the event was called "SHF Gathering", collectors from other toy lines such as D-Arts, UltraAct, Legacy MMPR etc. were also invited to share their collections. After all, we're one big family united by our passions for action figures! The more the merrier!
Aside from the exhibition session, the organizer also prepared 2 lucky draw sessions to spice up the event. The prizes were all sponsored by
Bandai South Asia.

And the winner is... not me. |

The next lucky number is... also not my number. |

Ow... Poster. Congratz :P |

Hey did they left out my lucky no. 6 from the box? |
I must admit that it's kinda let down for not winning any lucky draw. But that's just me and me not-so-good luck :P
Anyway, congratz to all the lucky winners :D
There was also a prize giving ceremony for the winners of the M'sian Toy Photography Contest:

Ultra-Act
Just FYI for those who don't know, these Ultra-Act action figures were contributed by one of my favorite Malaysian digital artists, Mohd Hanifah. You can find his exciting Ultra-Act stories at
Ultra Act: Story of M78.

Final Thoughts
Even though occasionally there are SHF gatherings in Malaysia, they're not as happening and impactful as this SHF Gathering, because those are usually small in size and only meant for friends who already know each other. This SHF Gathering, however, successfully reached across the state (if not the nation) and bridged the gaps between the small groups of SHF collectors. I can see people making new friends and sharing their thoughts with each other. There's nothing like finding new friends with the same passions as yours! IMHO, this SHF Collectors Gathering was really a big success. Hopefully the organizer will organize this event again and again every year. It'll certainly help to nurture the growth of SHF community in Malaysia.
P/S: Did I mentioned that IT Toys was throwing sales on the same day? I managed to get myself a SHF Naruto at only RM80 (21 USD)! Not a bad way to reward myself who doesn't have luck with lucky draw :')
Disclaimer:
- I do not own the action figures in the event. All the figures and props belong to the respective owners.
- If you found your face in my pictures and found it uncomfortable,
drop me a pm and I'll censor or remove the photo accordingly. TQ :)
